Terms of Use
Effective January 1, 2026. Last updated January 1, 2026.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of WorkTools Hub (the “Site”), operated by Cowboy MSP, a California limited liability company (“Cowboy MSP”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The Service
The Site provides free, informational tools related to compensation, hiring, careers, benefits, and related topics. Use of the Site does not require registration or payment.
2. Not professional advice
All content and tools on the Site are provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, tax, financial, accounting, medical, employment, immigration, or other professional advice. The Site is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for any decision or action you take based on information from the Site.
3. “As is” - no warranties
THE SITE AND ITS TOOLS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
We do not warrant that calculations, salary data, AI-generated content, or any other output is accurate, current, or complete. Tax brackets, minimum wages, statutory rules, and market data change frequently. Verify with authoritative sources before relying on anything.
4. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COWBOY MSP, ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars (USD $100).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract content from the Site at scale or in a manner that burdens our infrastructure.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits on AI or data-fetching tools, or use automation to abuse those tools.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, any related systems, or other users’ data.
- Use the Site to harm, harass, defame, or violate the rights of any person or entity.
- Submit, generate, or solicit content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or invasive of others’ privacy through any AI tool.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as your own original creative work in contexts where authorship matters.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for users who violate these terms.
6. Intellectual property
The Site design, code, and content are owned by Cowboy MSP. The Site relies on data from public sources (e.g., BLS, Adzuna, O*NET) under their respective licenses, and uses Google Gemini for AI features under Google’s terms.
Content you generate using AI tools (e.g., a cover letter draft, a job description) is yours to use, edit, and adapt. AI output may resemble training data; you are responsible for verifying originality before using it commercially.
7. Third-party services
The Site uses third-party services including Cloudflare (hosting and analytics), Google (Gemini AI and optional Analytics), and various public data APIs. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Cowboy MSP harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
9. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
